On this International Women’s Day, when the whole world is celebrating the Spirit of Womanhood, I being a woman myself is pondering as to what a woman really is.
For me, a woman is a deep mystery, A force unleashed and undoubtedly a charismatic enigma. She is nature’s best creation, a wonderful gift to mankind and a priceless treasure. She is the most sacred of all. She is multi-faceted, multi-functional and a great multi-tasker. She meticulously performs different roles and carries out all her responsibilities exceptionally well as women are born with certain inherent and infallible qualities.
A woman transforms the whole world into a reality by the sheer power of her grit, dedication and determination. A woman is a catalyst in the growth engine of a family. She grooms, governs and guides them. She is the epitome, epicenter and mentor of her whole family.
Women comprise half the population of the world and if they constitute the same percentage of the workforce also, the world will be a better place to live in. With women on board, work places would be more tolerant, diverse and creative and would be better equipped to tackle all future challenges. Women being natural multi-taskers are better than men at business. When more women don the leadership mantle, the paradigm shifts are bound to happen...
Women are the true harbingers! Listen to their voice of peace and prosperity and the world would definitely be a better place to live in! Women of today are exceptional, phenomenal and excellent in all spheres and streams. We must change and shape our outlook towards them and always held them in high esteem and regard! They epitomize the beauty of the whole world.
Women of today are defeating all odds to prove their merit, mettle and caliber. She is continuously redefining, reinventing and rejuvenating herself. She makes herself proud, her family proud and her nation proud with her courage and charisma. Mother Teresa, Angela Merkel, Melinda Gates, Sheryl Sandberg, Christine Lagarde, Indra Nooyi, Oprah Winfrey, Queen Elizabeth 2, Chanda Kochhar, Arundhati Bhattacharya, Kiran Majumdar Shaw, Beyonce Knowles, Hillary Clinton, Sania Mirza, Mary Kom, Deepika Padukone, Priyanka Chopra, Irom Sharmila, Chhavi Rajawat, Durga Shakti Nagpal, Kunjarani Devi, Tessy Thomas are just a few. Each one of us can be an entrepreneur as entrepreneurship comes from within and from our attitude.
While there are several women who go on to perform well in their chosen fields outside their homes, there are many who sit at home and still own the world. Every Mother is an achiever in herself!!!
I happened to meet one of them. She is Muniba Mazari, a Pakistani Artist, Writer, and a Motivational Speaker. She also serves as the National Ambassador for UN Women Pakistan and Brand Ambassador for Rhythm Foundation of QI group. Listening to her made me realize that how mentally strong a woman can be. Instead of being drowned by her sorrows, she converted all her miseries into abundant joys. The Essence of her beauty lies in her inner strength, willpower and never give up attitude.
Let’s salute ‘The Spirit of Womanhood’ on March 8th and applaud the success of those women who have broken all stereotypes, carved a niche for themselves. And constantly remind us that if we have the will to succeed, the dream to achieve whatever we aspire for and the grit and determination to conquer the World, then the ‘Sky is Limitless’.
