“The ideal man is he, who, in the midst of the greatest silence and solitude, finds the most intense activity and in the midst of the most intense activity, finds the silence and solitude of the Desert.”
Have we ever realized that sometimes Silence speaks more beautifully than words and it provides answers to all those questions which remain unanswered otherwise. The irony is we all love speaking and not listening. When one loves to talk, how can one value silence? We are too caught up in the continuous cacophony of turbulence, that sometimes it becomes impossible for us to listen to our own inner voice. Silence helps us in hearing that voice.
Have we ever thought how wonderful Silence is? How it can change and shape our lives?
The word ‘Silence’ has originated from the latin word ‘Silentium’ meaning, “be quiet or still”. Silence is a way of enjoying a pause in an otherwise busy and noisy life. It is very positive and powerful. We seem well skilled at making noise and unconscious about the beauty of silence. We assume that there is nothing to do about sounds; that there is no art of silence and no practical purpose for it anyway. But ‘silence is a taste of the eternal’, which is a natural part of us. If we are noisy and active all the time, we will never know the invisible world that is interior to us and to everything.
Every journey in life we undertake has a purpose and a master plan behind it which we might not realize at that moment. But as we keep on continuing on our path despite all roadblocks and hardships, its true purpose comes to the forefront but for that we have to listen to our heart and reach out to our inner self every moment.
I experienced the same when I went for a 3 day leadership camp. The purpose of the camp was to unleash the potential within us. At the beginning, I was little apprehensive to go for the camp, but a strong force inside pushed me to undertake that journey. I along with 150 Business Associates went for this training at a place which was completely in the lap of nature, surrounded by mystic mountains and dense forests.
It was Day 2, we practiced Sphere of Silence near a serene lake in the wee hours of the morning. The activity demands to be in total silence for a particular duration, without an exchange of single word.
It was completely an extraordinary experience where we were asked to talk to ourselves in complete harmony with the nature. There was a drop dead silence and I could hear only my voice. I closed my eyes and I could hear the silent whispers of my heart saying something to me. For quite some time, I have been seeking answers from the Universe about my existence and purpose of life.
In those 30 minutes, I listened to what the Universe was conveying to me. A deep voice echoed within me the purpose of my life and from that moment, something changed within me. After returning from that camp, I was not the same anymore. Whenever I practiced silence thereafter, It talked more and more to me.I kept on asking and asking, and it kept on providing and providing. It is rightly said that whatever you aim and aspire from the Universe in complete unison with it, it grants it to you. But you have to have a strong belief and absolute faith in the cosmic forces of the nature.
What silence has gifted me, is my purpose of life and the idea behind my existence.
If the above resonates with you as well and you too are seeking answers for your Life, then The Universe will probably listen to your prayers also. Let me share what I experienced during the last couple of months after I returned from that Camp.
I started with a simple thought which I wrote on the piece of paper on Dec 13, 2017 and I shared it on my FB Timeline. A New Journey began. Since that Day, I have shared three series; ‘Weekly Motivation’, ‘Weekly Rejuvenation’, ’21 Day Begin Change Now’ and presently the fourth series of ‘108 Day Conceive Believe Achieve’ is progressing well. There are many other things, which I would be sharing in the next couple of months.
Let me summarize with saying that “Silence is a way of listening to the subtle sounds that keep the world on course. Some adepts know well the cosmic sound of ‘Om’. The Upanishads state that Om is the primordial or the ‘first’ sound of the universe(big bang) generated by the cosmic vibration that resulted in all creation. It is the supreme absolute and runs through the prana”.
I seek all the blessing of the readers and express my deep gratitude who would be following this 108 Day Series. I further express my deep gratitude to all those messengers of Universe who have been guiding and supporting me.
Supreme truth can only be contained in silence – not in finite words.
