Commitment Design Our Dreams

We are celebrating our 69th Republic Day today. A proud moment for we all indians. Every year we celebrate our republic day with great pride and honor. But have we ever wondered what made our forefathers achieve this stupendous dream of making india, a republic nation.

At the time of independence, the indian society was fragmented, caste-ridden and torn apart by heterogeneity. An economy which was depleted and shattered by continuous manipulation and exploitation of economic and social resources by the colonial powers.

Was it easy to build india of their dreams at that point of time. No, it was a marathon task to rebuild india. But our founding fathers had a vision, their dream was to take india back to its glorious legacy, its spiritual supremacy and economic empowerment.

What kept them going was their burning desire to see india as an independent nation on the world map, their compelling reason to re-establish the glory of the nation which was once hailed as the "golden sparrow" and their strong sense of urgency which continuously pushed them towards their vision.

They faced many challenges and hurdles. But that did not stop them because their dream was designed by their unbridled commitment towards the motherland. They never deterred from their path and nor did they bulged under any pressure or pull.

They kept on going and going till they achieved what they have dreamt of despite all odds and difficulties. Be it Mahatma Gandhi, Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, G.K. Gokhale, Dr. Rajendra Prasad, Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru, Sarojini Naidu, Shaheed Bhagat Singh and many more.

A great salute to the undeterred and undying spirit and their uncompromising commitment towards the service of nation.

But today what stops us from moving ahead despite being on the path of economic progress and development as conceived by our constitution makers. We are reaping the harvest which their belief sowed for us.

As children we gave wings to all our dreams. We were limitless and fearless. There was no end to our imagination. what has gone wrong now? as adults what stops us?

What stops us is our own fears, the fear of failure and the fear of being judged.

We all our dreamers. But as we grow in our lives, we stop dreaming and start compromising. We forget ourselves and our dreams. Why there are only few who make it to their dream world and reap the harvest of their imagination? Why only they succeed and why not everyone around? Because they are deeply and truly committed to themselves and their dreams.

Let us take the Pledge today to be Committed…
