Woh Bachpan Ki Masti, Woh Duniya Nirali

Updated: Sep 10, 2019

On this children’s day, When I go down the memory lane, what reminisces the most is the haunting melody sung by the ghazal maestro Jagjit Singh Ji ‘Woh Kaghaz Ki Kashti, Wo Barish Ka Paani’.

Irrespective of whatever the age we are, We all yearn for those childhood days when life had different connotations and every little joy and success meant celebration. Children are undoubtedly nature’s best and most precious gift and childhood is the most memorable stage of life.

14th November is a very special day for all of us as we celebrate children’s day every year. Let’s celebrate this children’s day with new meaning and fervor.

Parenting is an art and skill that needs to be sharpened each moment as these days, Children demand and need more and more time, sharing and space. With the growing incidences of frustration, irritation, and violence among them, we really need to ponder as to what is grossly going wrong in our grooming and governing.

In this era of cut-throat competition, skyrocketing expectations and ever mounting pressures and frustrations, there is a great need of fresh air and bonhomie among the child and the parent.

Every child is unique in his or her own way. Understanding the child’s inclinations and intentions at the right time through righteous ways can lead to paths of glory and success.

People with a healthy self-esteem are often positive, consider life to be a playful adventure, are confident in their abilities, maintain a healthy lifestyle, laugh a lot, and are never bored by what life offers.

Positive thoughts right in the beginning of childhood can work wonders. High self-esteem right itself in the beginning of childhood can lay down strongest foundations for the future where the child develops a playful attitude towards life. And later any success or failure in his accomplishments help him or her to maintain the right mental balance and attitude.

Resultant, it becomes easy for such a pupil to experiment and explore more in Life by breaking new barriers every day whether physical or mental, helps him to be more affirmative and assertive which strengthens and improves his or her decision making capability.

Keep going and not looking back should be the mantra of life and should be taught itself in the formative years as life is a roller coaster ride and ups and downs in life make an indelible impact on a person’s personality and mentality. When one thing doesn’t work, don’t stop. Most of our worries never come to fruition, but we miss opportunities because we worry too much to try. We create needless barriers, refuse to lighten up, and never address the fears that keep us away from moving forward.

Give them the best gift of right parenting by listening to their inner voice and let your expectations take a back seat.
